In 2014, Louis partnered with Onno van Romondt, another well-known and experienced businessman in Aruba. Since then, Aruba Aloe Balm NV has risen to the next level, where all research & development and the complete production chain are managed in-house. The "cunuceros" (field workers) hand-harvest the Aloe leaves every few days, and the pure and fresh Aloe vera gel is extracted by hand and blended with other fine ingredients to formulate over 100 different sun, skin, and hair care products made according to the highest quality standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The products are sold in more than 15 stores around the island and are exported to over 55 countries worldwide, making them the second largest export product for Aruba (after tourism).
